India Goa plans to provide 50% subsidy to small solar consumers
Mar 30 , 2022
Recently, India Goa proposed to modify its state solar roof racking structure policy, including 50% subsidy for small consumers of photovoltaic power plants up to 100 kilowatts to replace the interest-free loan program.
The Goa Energy Development Agency (GEDA) posted updates on its website and hopes the public will respond positively.
The government should provide 50% of the cost of capital or base cost provided by the Ministry of New Energy and Renewable Energy (30% of the central government and 20% of the national shares) or the cost of GEDA's arrival through the tendering process, whichever is lower.
It is understood that after the solar roof racking structure starts to supply power to the grid from 6 months, the state subsidies will gradually issue corresponding subsidies, including the battery cost of the off-grid system.
