The announcement of the Cambodian National Assembly states that in order to increase investor confidence, all responsibilities related to the project must be fulfilled, and financial institutions should send guarantee letters on behalf of the government.
The four provinces of Banteay Bunch, Battambang, Poussat and Swee Rien will build four solar power plants.

SchneiTec Infinite Co Ltd plans to invest $ 29 million in the construction of a 30 MW solar power plant in Croco District, Posat Province. The plant will generate 48 million kilowatt hours per year.
All of the above projects were developed in the form of construction industry development (BOO) and are expected to be completed by the end of 2020. According to the Cambodian Ministry of Mines and Energy, the Cambodian Electric Power Corporation (EDC) will purchase solar energy for $ 0.076 / kWh.
It is understood that Cambodia consumed 2650 MW of electricity in 2018, an increase of 15% over 2017, of which 442 MW of electricity was purchased from Thailand, Vietnam and Laos.
